White Oak Christmas Parade Tonight, 7 p.m.

By Abby Quesenberry The annual White Oak Christmas Parade is tonight, December 4 at 7 p.m. The parade will feature numerous float entries, as well as the middle school cheerleaders riding on the ‘Pink Fire Truck’ and members of Student Council riding on a colorful float. The White Oak High School ‘Regiment of Roughnecks’ Band will also be featured performers. The parade route will start at City Hall and conclude on Center Street next to the high school. This annual parade has been an ongoing tradition for over 20 years with the exception of bad weather days and is sponsored by the City of White Oak....

Principal’s Corner December 4-8

Becky Balboa, Principal Save the Date:  SOCK DRIVE THIS WEEK December 2 – White Oak Middle School Lions Club Basketball Tournament- come cheer on the 7th and 8th grade boys and girls basketball teams!  The schedule is posted on the Middle School website December 4 –  Girls Basketball in Waskom; Boys Basketball, home; White Oak Christmas Parade at 7:00 December 5 –  UIL Academic Meet in Waskom- all day December 6 – Parent Lunch and Learn, 12:00.  This is a great opportunity for parents to learn about the Middle School December 7 –  Journalism Invitational HS Meet- MS Journalism students will compete at our high school.  Good luck!! December 8 – GRADE CHECK- Students who were failing at the nine weeks and then at the 3 weeks will have a grade check.  Students who are passing will regain their eligibility status. December 9 – Roughnecks Got Talent, 5:00 in Cafeteria- hosted by Susan Hoffman, choir director.  Students have the opportunity to show off their talents- whether it be dancing, singing, or playing an instrument.  It is sure to be a good time.  All acts will need to be approved Dec 4-5 from 3:45-5:30 in the choir...
