The middle school bands presented their end of year concert last night at C.C. Simmons Auditorium.

The sixth grade band started the program playing, Creepy Crawlies by Story, Dance Celebration by Smith and Theme from Spider-Man arranged by Lavender.

As an added bonus, the percussion section performed a special ensemble to What Up by Brooks. Percussion director, Jacob Ramos directed the students.

Outstanding sixth grade musicians were: Ava Rowland and Matthew Warrens – Brass; Katie Atchley and Barrett Williams – Woodwinds and Raylee Gajewsky and Kash Y’Barbo – Percussion.

The seventh grade band played, Liturgical Fanfare by Smith, Dr. Rockenstein by Hodges and Afterburn by Standridge.
Students honored as outstanding seventh grade musicians were Bailey Cooper and Nathan Bachtell.

To conclude the program, the eighth grade band played, Peace Jubilee March by King, Fireball by Beck, Grin Grinning Ghosts arranged by Wagner, and The Incredibles arranged by Murtha. The eighth grade band was recognized for a perfect performance at UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest last month at Lindale High School.
Eighth graders Garrett Cook and Amalia Jaramillo were awarded outstanding musicians for the year.
