The Roughnecks won their final district  game last night, 22-12, against the New Boston Lions.

Dyllon Hiest lead the way for the ‘Necks with two touchdowns (55 and one yard) and two 2 point conversions.  Dalton Morgan contributed one touchdown (23 yards.)

Offensive standouts included running back Dyllon Heist, running back Dalton Morgan, slot receiver Noah Carter, offensive line Blake Robertson, Dylan Jones, Gavyn Jones, Caden Tyner, Caleb Scott.  

“Offensively, we sputtered at times but put together a couple of good drives in the first half, Coach Ron Boyett said. “We protected the ball and blocked well for the most part against a physical team.”

Defensive standouts include Inside Linebackers Dyllon Heist & Dalton Morgan, defensive tackle Dylon Jones, defensive ends Caden Tyner and Blake Robertson.

Special teams standouts included Kicker, Aven Whittington and Hunter Hill.

“This was a good road win from the perspective of having to overcome several penalties that went against us as well as playing better against an offensive scheme that has given us problem,” Boyett said.  “We continue to play more physical and our tackling continues to get better.”

The team ended the season with an overall record of 5-2 and district record of 2-1.
