The Roughnecks were edged out by the Jefferson Bulldogs 12-8 last Thursday, bringing their season record to 5-3, and their district record to 2-2.

Offensive standouts for the ‘Necks included, Dalton Morgan and Noah Carter. Defensive Standout was Dalton Morgan.
According to Coach Ron Boyett the ‘Necks missed several opportunities to secure the win.
“We had our opportunities to win but we turned the ball over twice on downs,” Boyett said. “We just didn’t execute well enough at times and it cost us in the end. Defensively, we allowed one big pass play in the first half for a score, and then allowed them to pound us on the ground during their go ahead drive in the second half.”
The Roughnecks will host the final district game against the New Boston Lions on Thursday at 4:30.
