The eighth grade Roughnecks used big plays to claim the win over Harmony, 48-30 last Thursday.

Landon Anderson had a big night as he threw touchdown receptions to Gunner Solis and Rylan Friddell.

Gavin Bzdil had two long rushing touchdowns in the win and Sam Dusek added a touchdown by breaking it outside and down the sideline for the score. Ethan Smith added a five yard rushing touchdown to cap the scoring for the Roughnecks. .

“We are so proud of our guys,” Coach Steve Gillispie said. “They played hard and they are getting better each week.”

Defensively Jaiden Turner had six tackles in the backfield that resulted in lost yardage for the Eagles.

The ‘Necks travel to Winona next week to take on the Wildcats at 6 p.m.
